Gaza Moms' Nutrition Program

Every mother hopes to give her child a healthy start in life. Gaza moms are no exception.

Every mother hopes to give her child a healthy start in life. Gaza moms are no exception – except many can no longer provide the nutritious food their babies need to grow because the food simply isn't available.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women, newborns, and young children are among those bearing the greatest burden of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Beside risk of malnutrition for mothers and infants, medical teams from Doctors Without Borders (MSF) have reported that maternal malnutrition has been associated with increased rates of miscarriage, premature birth, low birth weight, and infant mortality. Their health facilities have cared for thousands of pregnant and breastfeeding women and children suffering from acute malnutrition, underscoring the urgent need for sustained nutritional support.

In response to this urgent need, IMRelief launched the Gaza Moms’ Nutrition Program in early 2026 to provide nutritious food assistance to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers in Gaza. Since the program began, we have supported more than 350 mothers, helping them access nutritious meals during one of the most critical periods for both mother and child.

It's only with your support we could carry on and serve more mothers in Gaza.
