About IMRelief
International Mission for Relief (IMRelief) is a 501 c (3) nongovernmental nonprofit organization working to deliver the poor’s right to food, shelter, and clean water. Our activities are international and US-domestic. IMRelief is working in 14 countries, with primary focus on emergency response, food security, water sanitation and hygiene, and child protection.
Position Summary
The Program Coordinator will oversee the planning, coordination, and quality assurance of IMRelief’s country-level programs in the Middle East. This leadership role ensures that all projects—especially those supporting women-led households—are aligned with strategic goals, responsive to community needs, and delivered on time and within scope.
The Program Coordinator acts as a bridge between field operations and the regional office, supporting local teams (including Project Coordinators and Assistants), and providing oversight for project development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational oversight for all programs and projects in the Middle East.
- Coordinate the design and execution of new projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and donor priorities.
- Supervise field staff, including Project Coordinators and Assistants, offering guidance and performance support.
- Lead or contribute to needs assessments, project scoping, and proposal development.
- Monitor program implementation, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and impact.
- Oversee financial management at the program level, including budgeting, expense tracking, and coordination of fund disbursements.
- Ensure proper collection and analysis of project data to inform decision-making and reporting.
- Liaise with the Regional Program Manager, local partners, authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate donor reporting, compliance, and monitoring & evaluation (M&E) activities.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and capacity building within the country program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Program Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in program coordination, preferably in the humanitarian or nonprofit sector.
- Demonstrated experience managing field teams and overseeing multi-project portfolios.
- Proven track record in working on programs supporting women-led households or gender-focused initiatives.
- Solid knowledge of budgeting, project planning tools, and monitoring frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. - Willingness to travel to field sites across the Middle East as needed.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with refugees, migrants, or underserved populations.
- Familiarity with donor-funded project environments (e.g., EU, UN, private foundations).
- Skills in data visualization, storytelling, or digital communication.
- Experience with MS-office (MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
